8 Days Package, from March to October
Reception at the airport of Horta or Pico Island / Embarkation Pier (Madalena/São Roque) and respective transport to the accommodation in Lajes do Pico.
Itinerary
DAY 1 – Arrival on Pico Island, transfer to AL Bela Vista. Free day
DAY 2 – whale and dolphin watching. The afternoon is free
Head out to sea for around three hours to see whales and dolphins in their natural habitat, turtles, seabirds and other species
DAY 3 – Mini van tour on Pico island (half day)
- Visit to Gruta das Torres classified as a Natural Monument of the Azores in (alternative dogs and lagido)
- Visit to the vineyards of Criação Velha, a protected landscape of vineyard culture classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
DAY 4 – whale and dolphin watching. The afternoon is free.
DAY 5 – Mini van tour on Pico island (half day) We will see the lagoons and appreciate the endemic fauna and flora.
DAY 6 – Whale and dolphin watching. The afternoon is free
DAY 7 – The afternoon is free and we usually suggest visiting the Center for Arts and Marine Sciences and the Whaling Museum, both in the municipality of Lajes do Pico
DAY 8 – Return to your destination
